Alexis Schaefer, a seventh year Slytherin, found herself running through the Forbidden Forest, her wand light guiding her path. Professor Albus Dumbledore had just been murdered by her very own Head of House, Professor Severus Snape. Head of House wasn't the only relation the man had to her, though. He was her biological father. However, neither of them ever acknowledged that fact. Alexis had just found out last year when her mother fell ill, just before she had passed away. She used to respect the Professor and even looked up to him, but ever since last year, she hated him. The only encouraging fact she had was that she hardly resembled Snape.
Alexis was average height, but very slender. She had a precious face, small nose, and baby blue eyes. Her reddish orange hair hung straight just past her shoulders, her long bangs usually getting in the way of her vision. She was wearing Converse, faded blue jeans, and a black tank top with a black hoodie over it. She was still cold, but didn't care.
She knew how idiotic this was: chasing Death Eaters through the Forbidden Forest in the middle of the night. She didn't even really have a plan. She hoped she'd catch them in the forest before they got to the point where they could apparate. If not, she would apparate to Malfoy Manor and hope that's where they all went. She was fairly certain that's where they'd go. But what would she do then? Confront Snape. Ok, but then what?
She realized she was pretty much having a conversation with herself, so she focused on running and not tripping over anything. She was planning her entrance into Malfoy Manor, just in case. She had been there plenty of times when she used to date Draco. That git. She broke up with him last year. She had been out of school for two weeks with her mom when she was sick. When she got back, Draco acted like he never even noticed she had left. So she dumped him.
Noticing how she couldn't keep her mind on one page, she kept her mind on Snape and finding him. Then she would cross that other bridge of what to do then when they got there.

Elliott Dark Dames, a seventh year Hufflepuff, was sitting in the common room with his Buttlebeer next to him as he sat on the floor beside the fireplace getting warm as today was a cold night. As he found himself taking a sip of his Buttlebeer he heard frustration about outside. He left the warm fire to see what was going on outside as he saw that Professor Minerva McGonagall was arguing with the portrait of Hogwarts. “Elliott, Thank goodness I caught you, this portrait wasn’t going to budge! Even for a professor!” Professor McGonagall said as she shook her head. “But why are you here?” Elliott questioned Professor McGonagall. Her face went red and her eyes got teary. “Your grandpa just got killed,” She said as he started to cry. As her tears fell onto the floor Elliott looked up as this was some kind of joke but it wasn’t. Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, his grandfather died. Elliott didn’t know what to do but he managed to let out a great scream and headed off running down the corridors.
Elliott had average height and weight for any 17 year old and had black hair which had bangs that usually covered his hazel eyes. He had a clam face that everyone seemed to enjoy looking at. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a white singlet which had a plaid shirt on top of it and a leather jacket. He was also wearing his vans and his favourite belt.
Elliott only found out last year that Albus Dumbledore was his grandfather from his mother’s side. His mother, Minerva Dumbledore kept it a secret until he was old enough and always used Elliott last name, Dark Dames. Elliott understood why this happened but he thought his mother had trusted him more. After that Elliott and Albus Dumbledore talked to each other a lot more and got called to his office once a day. Elliott enjoyed his afternoons with his grandfather but that was over now.
It was pathetic of him, turning to kill who was involved but he had a good idea that a Death Eater did it but how could they get inside the school that was because there is a Death Eater in the school. Severus Snape, he must have killed his grandfather because no one in this school was a coward like Severus Snape. They must have already left Hogwarts already leaving nothing behind but his grandfather’s body. To his instinct they would go to Malfoy Manor, which has acted as a meeting place for the Death Eaters for ages.
As he found himself at the entrance of Hogwarts he screamed once more as a tear fell from his eye. He rushed for the Quidditch Broom Shed as by flying by broom he could make up the time he had lost. He run trying to avoid anything in his way. “Alohomora!” Elliott said as he pointed his wand to the shed and the shed lock unlocked. He quickly found his Cleansweep 11 and hoped on it and flew up into the sky. He would risk his own life for anyone else’s. That’s what Hufflepuffs are. Loyal.

Alexis had been running for just a little over five minutes and didn't feel any slight hint of exhaustion. Running was almost as simple to her as breathing. Apparently, since she had been running that long and hadn't crossed any Death Eaters, they must have already apparated. She knew it was about a mile within the Forbidden Forest from Hogwarts until you could apparate. She ran for another couple of minutes just to be safe, and then concentrated on Wiltshire County, the location of Malfoy Manor.
A moment later, she felt the familiar sensation of being pulled upward and then flying back down, landing gracefully on her feet. She looked around, gripping her wand tighter just in case a Death Eater had seen her, and pulled her hood over her head. She was a bit disappointed that she hadn't caught them in the forest, but maybe she could trick her way into the house.
Alexis started walking down the street, a brilliant idea striking her. That's exactly what she would do. She would trick her way inside. After all, she was a Slytherin.

As Elliott mounted his broom and flew up into the air he quickly forced his broom to the fastest speed it could go. Feeling the air in his ears he looked at the ground as he saw a faint figure disappear. It must of been a Death Eater but it wasn’t wearing anything he knew that Death Eaters would wear masks and what not. Elliott shrugged as he lowered his broom closer to the ground and saw footprints made by humans. He carefully jumped on his broom and saw a star in a circle and the writing All Star in it. Which meant it was the type of shoes he was wearing Chuck Taylors. Elliott stumbled back a Death Eater won’t wear Converse but he knew who would kids around his age. Elliott didn’t know what was going on, another student chasing after Death Eaters. He shook his head in disbelief as he knew that the child had apparition to some location. Elliott sighed as he never thought of Apparition.
He focused his mind on the location where Malfoy Manor was in Wiltshire County. He quickly felt the iron bands across his chest and his eyes were being forced back into his skull as everything turned black then all of a sudden he couldn’t breathe as his feet fell to the ground gasping for breath. He had done the class to get his license for Apparition but he didn’t really like doing it. It was a complete waste of his 12 galleons, which he could of brought the Broom Servicing Kit from Quality Quidditch Supplies. Elliott sighed as he saw himself at the end of a street. Elliott got up and started to walk down the street.
After a minute of walking he saw a person who had a hood on and saw they had Chuck Taylors on their feet. Elliott quickly ran up to them as he knew that it was the person in the Forbidden Forest. As he reached up he quickly got his wand out and put a hand on the person’s shoulder. “Who are you?” Elliott said as he took a step back.

Alexis was walking down the street, about just a block from Malfoy Manor, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She very quickly turned around, the grip on her wand tightening as she held it out in front of her, pointing it at the person who just appeared behind her. Her eyes narrowed as she saw the boy's wand out of the corner of her eye. She glared at him, looking him over.
She recognized him from school. She knew that he was in Hufflepuff because she remembered thinking he was extremely dreamy a couple of years back. But she'd be damned if she, a Slytherin, was going to go up and talk to a Hufflepuff. Only because of what the other Slytherins would think and because of what his reaction would of been. Of course, he was still extremely dreamy.
However, she wasn't about to let her guard down no matter how amazingly good looking he was. She kept her wand pointed at the boy just in case.
"My name's Alexis Schaefer. What's yours and what are you doing here?" he asked him, figuring that she would beat him to that question, knowing very well that he would ask her the same thing. But she was extremely curious as to what a Hufflepuff would be doing around here right after the Headmaster of Hogwarts had just been murdered.

Elliott held his wand at the girl as she turned around and knew that she was a Slytherin because she was in his Transfiguration class and sometimes all she did was stare at Elliott which was usual to him as he usual surrounded by girls, which giggled whenever he put his quill in his ink pot and when he answered a question incorrect or correct because of his good looks.
Elliott put his wand down as he didn’t want to seem like a threat to her and didn’t want to get hurt. As he put it in his pocket he looked around as he saw that the street they were on had nothing but a rundown greengrocer and houses that looked haunted.
As she replied to his question Elliott then knew exactly why she was here and didn’t take his chances as he quickly took his wand out of his pocket. “Your your, his daughter... your father, that mean evil... GIT!” Elliott said as he quickly used the disarming spell at her but only enough force to knock her wand out of reach. “What are you doing here?!” Elliott asked as the thoughts of her being a death eater had increased. “Your father killed my grandfather, and what are you here for, did he send you here to finish me off?” Elliott said as he pointed his wand at her face. “Aren’t you going to answer me!?” Elliott shouted.

Alexis cursed herself for letting this boy disarm her. His first instinct would have been to back up when she saw his wand pointed straight at her, but she stood her ground. She listened to his accusations, glaring death at this boy. She didn't take lightly to being disarmed and having a wand pointed right at her face.
She hadn't expected him to know that Severus Snape was her father. No one knew that. How was it possible that this Hufflepuff boy knew? Then she realized that he had said 'grandfather.' Albus Dumbledore was this boy's grandfather? That had to be how he knew. Dumbledore must have said something about it or something to that extent. She almost got mad at the poor old man that died that night, but decided she had too much anger against Snape and this boy at the moment.
"I am not here to finish you off! So don't flatter yourself, boy! That man you want to call my father is nothing but a slimy git and deserves to die! He never once acknowledged my existence. So now after he's decided to murder someone as great as Dumbledore, never even seeing my mother while she was sick on her death bed, he's going to wish that he wasn't my father!"
Alexis was breathing quick and heavy from all the anger, not once looking away from the boy. After a moment, she suddenly did a tumble on the ground, picked up her wand, and stood back up gracefully. This time, she put her wand in her pocket, walking back up to the boy, looking straight at the wand that was pointed at her.
"If you wish to hex me, go right ahead. But as I'm sure you're here for revenge against the same man, wouldn't it be smarter to work together?" she asked him seriously, tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

Elliott watched Alexis carefully she was a Slytherin and Slytherins are sly and mischievous. He watched her pick up her wand and never took her eyes of him which was very clever as all Elliott wanted to do now was kill every living soul that was part of the murder of his grandfather.
But he had gone too far the first person he had told that Albus Dumbledore was his grandfather was the daughter of the man who murdered him. He knew all last year that Severus Snape was Alexis’s father from the afternoon chats that Professor Dumbledore and Elliott had. He mentioned it a couple of times and also pointed out to him that Severus Snape was a very bad father to hide this.
As Alexis had told Elliott that they were on the same page he sighed of relief but he didn’t trust her completely as he knew never to trust a person that you just met as they might become your worse enemy. This is exactly what his grandfather did when he met Tom Marvolo Riddle but Elliott didn’t blame him at all because it happens to everyone.
She walked up to him and Elliott put a firm grip on his wand but as he saw that she put it in her pocket he loosed his grip. Elliott nodded to what she had to say. “Yes it would be better to get revenge on that git,” Elliott said as he smirked then put his wand in his pocket.
Then just then there was mumbling down the street. He quickly took the hand of Alexis and dragged her behind the rundown green grocery and hid. Elliott took a peek as he saw none other than a group of death eaters but all he could identify was Draco Malfoy from his blonde hair and as they came closer he could hear a woman’s voice saying “Oh and you had to stop for your stupid Wolfsbane,” and the reply of a deep man’s voice “But there a full moon in a week and you want me to turn into a werewolf then and eat you up!?” “I’d rather you do that than disobey the Dark Lord’s orders!” “Would you too please stop were nearly there,” a stern voice said. “Snape!” Elliott whispered as he looked at Alexis.

Alexis watched Elliott carefully, still watching him with a slight glare. But when she saw him put his wand up, she relaxed slightly. She gave him a small smile when she heard him, though it didn't reach all the way up to her eyes.
She heard mumbling and turned back to Elliott just as he grabbed her hand. If they weren't running to avoid the Death Eaters, she might have paid a little more attention to their hands. However, she knew that this wasn't the best moment for that.
She let Elliott lead them behind the green grocery. She was actually quite surprised that he didn't just leave her behind, what with her being his grandfather's murder's daughter and all.
She followed Elliott in taking a peek at the passing Death Eaters, listening to their conversation. She saw Malfoy first, blushing with both anger and embarassment. She wouldn't mind hurting that git either.
Then she saw him. Snape. If she was to go face him right that moment, would he let the other Death Eaters kill her? Maybe if she got him alone, he would underestimate her.
She turned to Elliott. "I've got a plan. Please try to trust me. I'm not anything like him. If it doesn't work, well...I was going to die anyways."
After all, her plan wasn't completely full proof. If Snape really cared nothing about her, then she was on a suicide mission either way. But if he had any bit of a heart left after murder and at the very least wanted to talk to her, then her plan should work. She hoped.
She gave the boy another small smile and squeezed his hand slightly before pulling out her wand and heading back around the front of the grocery.
She pulled out her wand, taking a tight grip on it as her knuckles turned white, and taking a deep breath. "Snape!" she called out, all of her anger boiling back up to the surface.

Elliott didn’t know what to do as she let the grip of his hand before giving him a warm squeeze. She jumped out and pointed her wand at Snape. How could he trust her, but he was trying to trust her in case this was their only hope.
“Alexis what are you doing here?!” Snape bellowed as he keep his stern face and also went slightly red. “You know this miserable beast?” Bellatrix asked. “She happens to be my daughter,” Snape said sternly as he turned his attention back to Alexis. “So so... I dated your daught...her?” Malfoy managed to mumble out.
Snape moved forward as got a grip of Alexis’s hoodie and whispered into her ear. “Listen here Alexis, don’t try to make fun of me now but I don’t know how much you know but this isn’t good, what do you think wandering around Wiltshire County how much do you know,” Snape hissed as he let her down with a thud.
Elliott felt an urge to go out there but he didn’t dare too. Snape was really giving Alexis’s a hard time and he didn’t want to be out there to be given a hard time with her because all he knew that was time with Snape was horrible.
As Snape went back to the group of Death Eaters he sighed. “Aren’t you going to talk young Alexis? Don’t you have something to say to your father or may we just past you and leave in peace,” Snape said as he did his evil grin.

Alexis was surprised that she had been able to walk up to Snape. Her legs felt like jello from all of her nerves. She had her wand pointed at him, but she couldn't talk. The man had actually called her his daughter. Not in seventeen years had she even heard that word come out of the guy's mouth. He wanted to hex him, curse him, make him suffer somehow, anyhow she could. She wanted to cry, but she was too nervous. And she wasn't about to shed a tear in front of these Death Eaters.
She struggled for a moment against Snape's grip on her hoodie after sending a death glare Draco's way. If he had even pretended to care that she had left school for a couple of weeks, maybe she would have confided in him about Snape. Of course, now she was beyond glad that she didn't.
As soon as Snape let go of her hoodie, Alexis jumped back, her knuckles turning white from holding her wand so tight as she pointed it at the greasy haired man in front of her.
"You murdered Professor Dumbledore!" she shouted at the man.
"I know better than to believe that's the only reason you've come after me, girl," Snape said, his voice calm, but the anger showing in his eyes.
"You never told me the truth! You left us, and you weren't there when my mother was sick! Crucio!"
Snape easily blocked the curse and then disarmed Alexis all with a couple of small flicks of his wrist. He took a long stride towards her, his wand now pointing at her as he grabbed her hoodie again. "If you've come to hurt me, you're going to have to do a lot better than that."
Snape turned towards the others once again. "Go ahead and head towards the Manor. I'll take care of this one and then catch up with you."
Alexis hid a slight grin. Her plan had worked. For the most part. She hadn't wanted to be disarmed, but she had actually managed to get Snape away from the others. Now she could only hope that Elliott could manage to catch the man by surprise.
(Sorry it's quite long. I didn't want to make you play Snape alone.)

Elliott slumped back on his back as he tighten his eyes not knowing what Snape was about to do to Alexis but all he did was disarm her and that was it. “Git” Elliott mumbled to himself as he sighed then something warm tingled through his body. He quickly turned around nothing was there but now his heart felt warmer as if he was drinking buttlebeer. “Grandpa?” Elliott said as he looked around him but it couldn’t be everyone was sure that he had died even McGonagall!
He turned his attention to Alexis as he stood there. Elliott thought it was time for him to show up and help her as he was about to go out nervously he felt a hand on his shoulder. Quick as light Elliott turned back wand in hand and there was his grandpa waiting there to give him a hug Elliott hugged him as Dumbledore placed a finger on his lips.
Elliott knew what this meant know. Dumbledore was back and everything was going to be okay. He walked carefully out of the corner of the greengrocer and into view where Snape was.
“Mr. Dark Dames, Very sorry your grandfather died,” Snape said as he let out a laugh and smirked.
Elliott did the same and laughed as he went up to pick Alexis’s wand and handed it back to her. “It’s very sad indeed,” Elliott said as he smiled.
“What what’s so funny?” Snape said as he demanded to know why Elliott was so happy about his grandfather’s death.
Elliott turned to Alexis and tapped her shoulder and pointed to his head to the corner of the greengrocer where his Grandpa was there smiling.
Dumbledore walked out with his long white bread and his blue robe on. “Yes indeed that is very funny Severus how could you be mistaken about killing me,” Dumbledore said in a stern voice but not like Snape’s.
“But now I must kill you!” Dumbledore said as he looked at Alexis and Elliott and mouthed “run” to them. “Stupefy!” Dumbledore said as a jet of red light shot from his wand and struck Snape which let him in an unconscious state.
Elliott grinned from mouth to mouth as he quickly went up and hugged his grandpa. “Lets go!” Elliott said as he grabbed Alexis’s hand ready for them to apparate out of her. He knew his grandpa had a lot of explaining to do.
