Is it natural to wander the grounda at night? Is it normal to be alone near a black lake? This place isn't exactly the safest place to be, especially close to midnight. So, Kyrah wasn't exactly the curfew kind of girl. She was more the rebel, the outcast. Not that she minded in the least.
She sighed, a small sound coming from her throat, her lips barely parted. She watched as her midnight black kitten of six months scurried next to her, invisible to the world in the dark moonlight. One would have to look terribly hard in order to see her kitten. And her for that matter. She decided it was a good idea to stay hidden in the darkness, camouflaging herself in black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt.
Normal clothing for an eleven year old? Probably not, seeing as puberty hasn't really hit yet.
But, who cares right?
She smiled to herself as she watched her kitten scamper and trudge through the cold and murky lake water, stifling a laugh. Her kitten, Jaydin, whimpered and screeched as her paw hit the water, making it ripple around her. Ky bent to her knees next to her furball she loved dearly, her only friend really.
"Well, of course that would happen, silly," she said, her voice soft and honey smooth, silky soft. She placed her guitar case on the grass next to her, lifting up her kitten into her arms. He purred at her touch, her fingers brushing through his soft, long fur.
She got up, grabbing her guitar case, and sitting by a nearby tree, Jaydin still in hand. Her back lay against the bark of the tree, as she watched the breeze rush over the lake, the moon hitting it just right. She placed her young furball on her lap, opening up her guitar case. In a hidden pocket on the top, she took out a pencil and a drawing pad, opening to a clean page. All her other pictures were of Jaydin, or some of her friends back home from her neighborhood. WHo knew a young girl could be so talented.
She cocked her head to the side, looking at the lake, starting to draw every aspect, every little line and ripple on the water, every tree with every leaf. It was the one thing she was good at, besides guitar.
She glanced up, and everything was silent. She listened hard as her cat started to hiss lightly, a low rumble in his throat.
Someone was near.
She listened closely, Jay hopping down, she placed her pad down, grabbing her wand. She waited impatiently, coming out from behind the tree. "Who's ther --" she muttered, her eyes wide. Who was this person?
She was never good with not being straight out. "Who the hell are you?" she asked, her voice harsh. And this is why people never befriended her. She blamed her parents. Her hand went for her stomach, the hand that dropped her wand, and she felt around, she felt the sore spot that was the huge bruise her father gave her before she left for Hogwarts.
"Uhm, I'm sorry, it's a habit of mine to just react out of defensive instinct..." she said, trying to lessen her rudeness, and be sweeter. More lady-like.
((Sorry if it's a bit long. My intros are kinda really long. o.o With pointless information. I was kinda hoping for a guy to be there, and have others come later, but it's cool with whoever joins. haha))
