((Okay this is just something I found on my computer. It was from a long time ago and I really sucked at writing then. So sorry if it's bad.))
Platform 9 ¾ was as busy as ever. Now that Voldemort was gone students were coming back to Hogwarts. Somehow Harry Potter ended up defeating him during the summer, just in time for school to start again. This will be my final year at Hogwarts. It’s a little sad, but I’m determined to have the best year ever!
“Carissa!” Someone whined my name, “Wait up don’t go so fast!” That was my twin sister Kayla. She just had to put on her super high heels today and nobody can run in those things. Personally I think they are ugly. I mean they have neon pink zebra stripes on them!
I started to get mad, “I told you it’s Car and if we don’t hurry we won’t find an empty compartment!”
When we finally got on the train Kayla paused and fixed her hair and smoothed out her skirt. Not that there was much of a skirt, it was supper short. Before she could finish I pulled her down the hallway and into an empty compartment.
“What was that for?” Kayla whined.
I snapped at her, “You don’t have to fix every little thing that might make you look the slightest bit unattractive!”
Kayla’s eyes narrowed and a smirk played on her face, “You’re just jealous, cause I am more attractive than you.”
“What!?”
Kayla’s eyes scanned me as she observed, “First of your hair. We have the same chestnut colored hair, but mine is shoulder length with perfect curls. And yours comes to your mid back so it pulls all the curls out making your hair wavy. Then we have the same grayish green eyes, but I make mine pop with a lot of eyeliner. You only wear a little makeup. Then your clothes.” She sighed. “You should wear short skirts, and you should show more cleavage. Maybe even something that shows your mid-section.”
I looked down at my clothes. I was wearing stone washed jeans with a tight fitting Wimbourne Wasps shirt. What can I say I liked their beater Ludo Bagman but I hated the way he turned out after he quit. It’s not like I didn’t care about my appearance, I just didn’t want to look like my sister.
If you haven’t guessed we are both Slytherin. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sister, but she can be so… I can’t even find the right word to describe her. Sometimes I wish I was in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor than Slytheirn.
“Kay, you know I could care less about looking like you.” We were identical twins, but it was really easy to tell us apart, like Kayla pointed out before.
Kayla huffed, “Well don’t blame me when you never marry and become a miserable person only to comforted by your house elves.”
“Kay, I doubt that’s going to happen.”
“Well while we are on this topic, I have a huge crush on someone!” Kayla got a huge smile on her face. Oh great. Every year she has this huge crush on some guy and annoys the crap out of me.
In a bored tone I asked, “Who?”
“Draco Malfoy!” She practically yelled.
My eyes went wide and I quickly half yelled, “What!? But he was a Death Eater!”
“So? He WAS a Death Eater. Plus he is smoking hawt!” Kayla pointed out.
“Just be careful and don’t do anything stupid.” I sighed.
Kayla rolled her eyes. “Well I better get going I don’t want to ruin my reputation by hanging out with a nobody like you.” And with that she left.
I pulled out my copy of ‘The Beaters Bible’ and started reading it. Your probably wondering ‘why am I so obsessed with Beaters?’ Well it’s because I am a beater. I haven’t tried out for the position in the past years because I wanted to focus on my grades because I want to become a curse breaker or a hit wizard, but now I can finally take a break since this is my last year. The door slid open and I looked up to see the golden trio, along with Ginny.
“Is it okay if we sit here, all of the other compartments are full.” Harry asked.
I moved my stuff to the rack above my head and said, “No I don’t mind.” Hermione and Ginny sat by me and Harry and Ron sat on the other side. “My name’s Carissa Hagen by the way, but please call me Car.” They probably had no idea that I was a Slytherin.
“I’m Harry, this is my best mate, Ron. That’s his girlfriend Hermione, and that’s my girlfriend Ginny.” Harry introduced everyone.
“So you like the Wimbourne Wasps?” Ginny asked.
I replied with, “Yeah I think they are pretty good.”
“The Chudley Cannons are better.” Ron argued.
I questioned, “Aren’t they like famous for losing?” Ron turned red and everyone laughed. It felt good to laugh. I never really had that many friends, after all I guess it was true what my sister said. I was a nobody.
“What book are you reading?” Hermione asked. She was obviously interested in books.
I closed my book and replied, “The Beaters Bible. I play the position of beater, but I haven’t tried out because I wanted to concentrate on school.”
Harry asked suddenly, “Are you going to try out this year?”
“Yeah defiantly, I just hope I’m good enough.”
Hermione butted into our conversation, probably seeing how she doesn’t like Quidditch, “So Car, what’s your favorite subject?”
“Well I’m best at Transfiguration, but I also like charms too. Oh and care of magical creatures. I hate potions though.” I replied.
Before Hermione had a chance to say something the door slid open again. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t Potty, the weasels, a Mudblood, and what’s this? There is a new member in your crew.” He started to eye me, “Maybe you would rather hang out with me than these pathetic people.” I glared at him.
I got up out of my seat and walked up to him. “I’m sorry but I doubt you really want to hang out with a bloodtraitor Slytherin like me. What would your daddy say?” It was true me and my sister were both purebloods but I’m the only one in the family that likes muggleborns and muggles. “If you really want someone to be your little one day girlfriend then my twin sister Kayla Hagan, would gladly take that offer. I suggest you get lost or I might just have to get my beaters stick out and that wont be very pretty.”
Malfoy’s eyes narrowed and he muttered, “Whatever,” and stormed away.
I sat back down and everyone just looked at me with wide eyes. “What?”
Ron was the first to ask, “Your in Slytherin?”
I smiled weakly, “Uh yeah. I hate it their though. I hope you don’t mind.”
Harry laughed, “Don’t mind? You yelled at Malfoy! That was brilliant!”
The rest of the evening was uneventful. McGonagall was the new headmistress and still is teaching Transfiguration. Slughorn still potions master too. There was a new muggles studies teacher called Vanvicht. There was another new teacher named Jinx. The feast was wonderful as always and Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny are now my friends.
When I got up to the dormitories I noticed that Smoky, Kayla’s owl, was on my bed. I got the note from Smoky and read it to myself
‘Carissa you’ll never guess what happened! Draco asked me to be his girlfriend! I can’t believe it!’
I quickly wrote back to her, ‘I don’t see what you see in him Kay, but I guess your standers are low.’ I sent the note back with Smoky to take back to Kay’s dorm room since we weren’t in the same room this year. Thank Merlin.
The next morning was quite revolting. When I got down to the great hall for breakfast I saw something that would scar me for the rest of my life. Kayla and Malfoy where snogging at the table. I felt like I could throw up right then and there. I quickly hurried over to the Gryffindor table and sat down next to Hermione. I was glad I had friends. I never felt comfortable sitting at the Slytherin table.
“That’s so disgusting.” I said as I sat down.
Ron and Harry must have been talking about Ron’s new rat he just got cause he said, “Scabbers II is not disgusting!”
I sighed, “Not your rat Ron, I’m talking about that.” I pointed to my sister and Malfoy snogging.
“I agree with you.” Hermione said.
Ginny snorted, “It looks like he has finally ditched Pansy.”
“I didn’t think he would take me seriously when I said that he should go for my sister.” I pointed out.
Hermione changed the subject, thank Merlin, “Why don’t we look over our schedules?”
“Let’s see, double potions, Charms, Lunch, Transfiguration, then Arithmancy.” I read aloud.
Ron pointed out, “Me and Harry have Charms class with you.”
Hermione corrected, “It’s Harry and I, Ronald. It looks like I have Arithmancy with you too.”
“So Double potions and Transfiguration alone I see.” I sighed. I hated having classes alone. I have for the past 6 years. “Well I guess my sister is in Transfiguration with me so not all alone but I’ll probably be in a bad mood.” I grumbled
