"Parenting; the experiences, skills, qualities, and responsibilities involved in being a parent and in teaching and caring for a child.
Well the definition is half right, but they forgot something important. They are overprotective and rule your life. And how would I know this? Well you haven’t met my parents yet. Take my mother for example. She would always ask me stuff like, “What ever happened to your friend Jenny? You two were really good friends in 7th grade.” Or “Why have you changed so much since you were in middle school? Why can’t you be like Jenny?”
Jenny and I were best friends. Key word, were. In 8th grade she ditched me cause the most popular guy in school asked her out and she became instantly popular, and bratty. Me on the other hand isn’t popular. I don’t dress like my preppy little self anymore and that bugs my parents.
The people I hang out with aren’t exactly the best people, but they aren’t bad. My parents definitely have a problem with them. They would accuse them of ’poisoning my mind’ or 'influencing bad behavior.’ In reality they are actually very nice people who understand me, but my parents have different views.
So what should I do? Don't forget to comment below and tell me about your parent problems." Circe reached over and turned off her video camera. She plugged it up to her computer and uploaded it to youtube. She had a pretty good amount of viewers that left coments but she normally didn't talk about her parents a lot, until a viewer asked why she didn't ever seem to like them.
The next morning Circe Sommers got a huge shock. "I'm moving! You can't just kick me out!"
“Carissa, your father and I have been discussing and we have come to a decision.” Her mom paused, probably thinking about what to say next. “Your friends have been encouraging things that we know you would never ever do. Like the time you got a facebook without us knowing! Or the time you got into your friends boyfriends car to hang out after school. And even the way you dress! I did not raise my child to be some gothic kid that does drugs!” Now she went to far.
Circe snapped back, “I’m not gothic and I do not do drugs!”
“It’s only a matter of time!” Her mother yelled. “Before you know it you will end up in jail asking us to bail you and your little friends out!”
Circe yelled back, “They actually understand me unlike some people! What I did would have been with or without them!”
Her father stepped in at this point, “The point is, we are taking to live with a friend, so you can get away from the bad things that you have done.” Circe instantly shut up. Her dad was the one person who really scared me to death. “You will be attending school there for a year to see if things turn around. And they have some children your age. Now will you please go and pack and get ready to go?"
Circe went up stairs and packed her things. She had called all of her friends, and she had a headache from crying so much. Finally she got in the car and they left for her parents friends, that she had never met before, house. Circe's parents didn't know that the new living enviorment wouldn't help what so ever.
